Seychelles Victoria— November 28, 2025 — The MEXC Foundation announced today that it will donate HKD 5 million to support emergency relief efforts in the Tai Po District of Hong Kong following a severe fire.
On November 26, 2025, a major fire engulfed seven residential buildings, resulting in at least 94 fatalities and leaving nearly 280 individuals missing. This marks Hong Kong's deadliest fire in over a century, displacing hundreds of residents and impacting thousands. This humanitarian crisis demands immediate and sustained support.
The HKD 5 million donation from the MEXC Foundation will be directed towards supporting emergency response operations and essential living services for the affected residents. This contribution underscores the Foundation's steadfast commitment to "Community Giving"—one of its three core pillars and central to its mission of creating meaningful positive impact beyond the blockchain ecosystem.
