Real-time data is becoming the foundation for AI agents. As models move from answering questions to acting on live systems, the layer underneath — streaming ingestion, sub-second analytics, and an AI-ready platform — decides what those agents can actually do. Join AWS User Group Hong Kong, SelectDB (Apache Doris), Confluent, Open Source Hong Kong and OpenBuild for Data Night: an evening on the real-time data foundation that powers AI. We will look at AI-ready data organization and platform design on AWS, an end-to-end real-time data base built on Kafka + Doris, and what powering AI with streaming data looks like in production. Whether you already run data pipelines or are working out what your AI workloads will need from them, come for the talks and stay for the pizza and the Hong Kong data community.
Language: English and Mandarin
Target Audience: Data engineers, platform and cloud architects, AI/ML engineers, DevOps engineers, analytics teams, and anyone building on real-time data.
Co-Organized by: AWS UG x SelectDB (Apache Doris) x Confluent x Open Source Hong Kong x OpenBuild
— What You'll Get —
- 1. AI-ready data on AWS — How to organize data and build the platform layer so AI workloads have something solid to run on.
- 2. A real-time stack, end to end — Kafka for streaming ingestion, Apache Doris for sub-second analytics, and how the two fit together as one data foundation.
- 3. Streaming in production — What "powering AI with real-time data" actually takes, from a Confluent principal solutions engineer.
- 4. Open source, up close — Apache Doris and the wider open-source data ecosystem, with practitioners in the room.
- 5. Networking with the HK data community — Meet engineers and architects from the AWS UG, OSHK and OpenBuild ecosystems over pizza.
