Hello. This June, the AWSKRUG AI Engineering meetup is prepared with two sessions on the theme of 'Practical Engineering in the AI Era', covering AI use cases from CLI to Edge.
■ Session Introduction
Starting from how to design and build a CLI for teams in an era where humans and AI work together, to the field story of handling data from tens of millions of cameras using an Edge-Cloud hybrid strategy. We will explore the perspective of refining AI as a tool and the perspective of operating AI at scale as a 'service/infrastructure'.

• In the era of AI agents, I will share my personal experience on how I designed and built a CLI for my team and company.

CCTV and AI: From Edge to Cloud

• The CCTV market is one of the business areas with the strongest willingness to adopt AI but the slowest progress. Tens of millions of cameras, the data volume they generate, and the infrastructure and costs to support them—none of these are AI-friendly. This session introduces how to solve these real-world problems with an Edge-Cloud hybrid strategy.

■ Meetup Introduction
The AWSKRUG AI Engineering meetup is a gathering that addresses real-world development issues transformed by the generative AI era. It mainly covers prompt engineering, retrieval-augmented generation (RAG) techniques, generative AI development tools and usage methods that cloud and software engineers must know. However, it does not cover topics related to large language model (LLM) training and inference, fine-tuning, GPU or CUDA usage, or LLM MLOps, and primarily focuses on AWS cloud services such as Amazon Bedrock, Amazon Q Business, Amazon Q Developer, and related vector databases (Amazon Aurora, OpenSearch, etc.).
