Techub News reported, according to Cointelegraph, Dubai Insurance has launched a digital wallet supporting cryptocurrencies, enabling the collection of premiums and payment of claims in the form of digital assets. Its infrastructure is built based on the institutional-grade custody services provided by Zodia Custody. The company stated that the wallet operates within the current regulatory compliance framework of the UAE and claimed it is the first such product in the UAE's insurance industry.
Techub News reports, according to The Fintech Times, that Zodia Custody, a digital asset custodian backed by Standard Chartered, has obtained a Crypto-Asset Markets Regulation (MiCA) license from the Luxembourg Financial Industry Supervisory Commission (CSSF). This allows its European branch to provide regulated digital asset custody services in all EU member states through the 'passporting' mechanism.
