Starknet launches privacy-enabled Bitcoin asset strkBTC

Techub News, Starknet has announced the launch of strkBTC, a Bitcoin asset based on the STRK20 privacy framework. The asset is backed 1:1 by Bitcoin on the Bitcoin mainnet and supports both public and private modes. Users can perform private transfers and hide balances via Xverse and Ready wallets. The STRK20 framework, developed by StarkWare, implements shielded balances and private transfer functions at the protocol level. The privacy system adopts a "compliant disclosure" design, requiring users to share viewing keys with independent third-party auditors when shielding assets, in order to meet legitimate regulatory requirements and achieve a balance between privacy and compliance.
