Techub News: According to CoinDesk, cryptocurrency payment company Truther plans to partner with Visa to launch a non-custodial USDT Visa payment card in El Salvador on January 29, 2026. Users can spend USDT directly from their self-custody wallets without pre-loading funds or entrusting assets to a third party. Payments are deducted in real-time from the Truther self-custody wallet during actual spending. The card charges a 2% fee for currency exchange, while users in Brazil are exempt from the IOF financial transaction tax. Truther stated that after the launch in El Salvador, the card will be available to all Truther users, with plans to expand services to markets including Argentina, Mexico, Colombia, and Russia. Additionally, the company aims to integrate more local stablecoins into its self-custody wallet by early 2025 to promote the adoption of stablecoins in everyday payments and cross-border settlements.
