Techub News reports that AI cloud service provider CoreWeave announced at the CoreWeave Fully Connected conference the official launch of the NVIDIA Vera Rubin NVL72 system on its cloud platform, equipped with Spectrum-X Ethernet networking. The AI lab Cognition became the first customer to run production workloads on this system, with improved inference performance for its AI software engineer Devin. CoreWeave will also offer NVIDIA Vera, the first CPU product designed specifically for AI agents. The company also introduced CoreWeave Forge, an interconnected environment for training, evaluating, and improving models and agents on NVIDIA accelerated computing. Ian Buck, NVIDIA's Vice President of Hyperscale and High-Performance Computing, stated that NVIDIA accelerated computing delivers value across generations. CoreWeave putting the Vera Rubin NVL72 into production, with V100 GPUs deployed years ago still running customer workloads, demonstrates the platform's strength and flexibility. (NVIDIA Blog)
Techhub News reports that NVIDIA has outlined three key elements for maximizing ROI in AI factories: productivity, durability, and interchangeability. Productivity refers to maximizing annual revenue potential by achieving the highest throughput per megawatt and the lowest cost per token; durability refers to NVIDIA GPUs and systems continuing to generate revenue years after shipment; interchangeability refers to their ability to run various AI and non-AI workloads, thereby broadening demand. The blog cites SemiAnalysis AgentX data, stating that NVIDIA's Vera Rubin NVL72 system achieves over 30 times higher throughput per megawatt compared to the GB300 NVL72, with up to 45 times lower cost per million tokens on the DeepSeek V4 Pro model. Additionally, NVIDIA's A100 GPUs, shipped since 2020, are still in commercial service, and CoreWeave has extended bookings for some of their units until 2029. (NVIDIA Blog)
