Techub News reports that Google Research has announced the public release of the Deep Review AI system, which is designed to provide rigorous feedback and technical verification for complex technical documents. Deep Review was initially designed for analyzing computer science academic papers and has now expanded to multiple fields including law and finance. It can be used as an iterative improvement tool during drafting or to verify scientific processes, claims, and evaluations during the review process. The system offers tiered access and scalable APIs, with each user entitled to two free document reviews per day. Users can link their Gemini API keys to obtain higher usage limits and integrate programmatically via the Deep Review API. Currently, Deep Review supports PDF and plain text input formats, with multi-file input support coming soon. Documents uploaded to Deep Review are not used for training, fine-tuning, or improving Google models, and are stored only for one year for display in the user interface.
According to Techub News, Google Research has announced the launch of two new geospatial AI agent benchmark test suites, GeoExpertQueries and GeoKTools, to evaluate AI performance in complex real-world tasks. GeoExpertQueries includes expert-written complex queries and workflows, covering areas such as crisis resilience, site selection, and public health. GeoKTools contains templated queries with verifiable answers; each query requires correctly selecting and using 1 to 4 different geospatial tools. Google states that the release of these two new benchmarks aims to accelerate the development of geospatial AI agents.
