Circle launches Agent Stack to support AI agent economy

Techub News, Circle has announced the launch of the Circle Agent Stack, a chain-agnostic open infrastructure for the agent economy. It includes five core components: Agent Wallets, Agent Marketplace, and Circle CLI, aimed at enabling AI agents to hold USDC funds and execute programmatic transactions. This infrastructure addresses the current lack of a native financial layer for AI agents. Data shows that the emerging payment protocol x402 has processed over $24 million in transactions in the past 30 days, with 99.8% settled in USDC. Agent Wallets support human-set strategy controls, including time-limited spending caps and allowlists.
