Axelar initiates governance proposal to cease integration of three chains including Flow

Techub News, Axelar has initiated a governance proposal to discontinue integration with three chains: Flow, Berachain, and Plume. The reason is that these chains have not generated sustained transaction activity since their launch, but incur hundreds of thousands of dollars in validator infrastructure costs annually. The protocol stated that these chains were integrated through the Amplifier framework, with the foundation subsidizing related validator fees over the long term. However, an internal review found almost zero cross-chain transfer activity. The proposal will enter the standard governance process, with token holders able to vote within three days. If passed, there will be a one-week notice period before the connections are formally terminated.
