Techub News reports that a developer has sent Bitcoin Cashu tokens through Apple's Find My network. The experiment uses a small device to package Cashu token data into Bluetooth signals by mimicking the beacon of a lost AirTag. Nearby iPhones receive these signals and relay them through Apple's Find My network, without the need for the sending device to connect to the internet. The recipient retrieves these relayed reports through their Apple account and gradually reconstructs the token. Since each signal carries only two bits of data, a typical token requires more than 1,000 broadcasts to complete the transmission. The developer warns that broadcasted tokens are public and the transmission itself is unencrypted, so it is recommended to send only very small amounts. This experiment is currently only a proof of concept and not a mature payment product. The code has been open-sourced on GitHub and runs on low-cost ESP32 development boards. (BeInCrypto)

Techub News reports, according to Cointelegraph, Google's Threat Intelligence Group has discovered a new iOS exploit kit named "Coruna" that can target iPhones running iOS versions 13.0 to 17.2.1 to steal cryptocurrency wallet seed phrases. The kit contains 5 complete iOS exploit chains and 23 vulnerabilities, some of which were previously undisclosed. Google first discovered the kit in February 2025; it was allegedly used by a suspected Russian espionage group against Ukrainian users and later appeared on fake Chinese cryptocurrency websites to steal crypto assets. When users visit these sites, the kit scans and extracts text containing keywords like seed phrases and backup phrases, targeting apps such as Uniswap and MetaMask to steal sensitive information. Google recommends iPhone users immediately update to the latest iOS version or enable "Lockdown Mode" to defend against such attacks, as the kit is incompatible with the latest iOS version.
