Techub News, according to documents disclosed by Bitwise CEO Hunter Horsley, Morgan Stanley GIC stated in its latest special report, "GIC views cryptocurrency as a speculative and increasingly popular asset class. Many investors, including investment strategists, may seek to explore this area. We categorize this emerging asset class under the real asset class. We consider Bitcoin a scarce asset, similar to digital gold. While GIC's allocation model will not explicitly include allocations to cryptocurrency, we aim to support our financial advisors and clients who may flexibly incorporate cryptocurrency into their multi-asset portfolios."
Hunter Horsley stated that GIC guides 16,000 advisors, with assets under management of $2 trillion.
